as far as paint no

When painting sneakers in general I mean

use a deglazer or acetone before you paint
I just use cheap ass brushes
whenever I use tape my lines are s*** so I stopped taping off cuz I gotta retouch anyways
if you plan on painting a tongue or sockliner use 2soft or gac900
when you done spray a couple coats of krylon satin crystal clear (or gloss if you want that kinda finish)

oh and for midsoles you're supposed to use a hardener but I never have and haven't had a problem
tried paining soles a couple times with and without it but that s*** just rubs right off with wear.
tried putting a sole protector on but with a hairdryer cuz I dont have a heatgun and that s*** didnt work at all
you can use dye for clear soles but the one time I did the color didnt translate well

You use acetone to remove the old color right?

for midsoles ya but on the leather just the protective coating (basically the same as the krylon finisher I spray at the end)
