this collection is so nuts hhh
The 1990-1999 for Jean Charles de Castelbajac was absolutely breathtaking.
Givenchy 2000-2010 was insane too.
The intricacy, craftsmanship and attention to detail is something unrivaled compared to a lot of brands.
Only modern fashion that I really like was Balenciaga 2020 fall. Pretty much art in the form of clothing lol
I think I’ve finally come to the conclusion that the LV Forces by Virgil are trash and the OG ones by Dapper Dan are far better

I’ve noticed a lot of vintage fashion seems to “look” better. All of the subtle details come together to make things look really nice. It looks like the artists final sketch of the shoes were made on the spot lol.
It’s concerning how the trend for a lot of stuff is minimalistic and flat looking in comparison. The LV Air Forces just look cheap and aesthetically it’s not easy on the eyes.

The Virgil LVs are just his normal clunky Off White AF1s with LV monogram on them, very lazy stuff, especially considering the fact he was working directly with Nike. I hope they don’t release tbh, they had a perfect reference with this Dapper Dan photo. Just recreate that shoe and it’s cut and you have a winner.
Jean Charles de Castelbajac fall 1989
It’s crazy how in 1989 this man was able to craft what the modern Instagram hoe looks like
. But seriously the piece is so modern looking it’s quite shocking.
Givenchy fall 2005. Back when Givenchy still had strong Balenciaga influence in their clothing.
I’m a huge fan of vintage high fashion. But there’s modern stuff I like to. Balenciaga fall 2020 is breathtaking to me. Stuff looks like it will fit right into the year 2050 easy.

i know we've had this discussion like a million times but it's kinda wild how much more prominent fake shoes/clothes are getting atm on ig and other platforms atm

You gotta chase the clout at all costs
But seriously to make a long post short, it seems like a of folk think hype equates to fashion sense. You’d think we’d all know it’s best to find what suites your personality, demeanor, and body type but nope. They’ll cop the latest hype fashion for outside validation instead of finding what actually works for them personally.
It’s an extension of social media, that quick fix of euphoria of wearing something that’s been buzzing on gram will definitely make someone feel good short term lol. Even if that s*** is fake af

Imagine walking into the club as homeboy #3. Impossible to walk out alone

So many people be dripped out in some ugly ragtag ass fit that cost $700, s*** makes no sense

Exactly, people don’t care about the clothes, they care about the attention the clothes bring. That’s why hype and fakes have gotten so outta hand, sneakers especially. You don’t know what’s real or fake these days

On god. On some stupid s*** I wouldn’t be surprised if you could pitch that you own the club and shortie would eat it right up lol

Yup, counterfeits are getting on blueprint levels of detail now a days.

the funny thing though is that you get people who think it's the complete invert: that it's actually people who want to buy authentic stuff that are hypebeasts and not the person in a full fake travis scott fit
the lack of any sort of self awareness is crazy

A lot of that fake gear only looks good in pics tho. A lot of it looks s*** in motion or lacks that sheen and particular fit the real thing does. Fakers aren’t getting away entirely.

Man this is irrelevant but has anyone else noticed the amount of crooked ass brims on baseball caps recently? Like half the hats I see in the mall are crooked, I traced most of it to taobao/AliExpress cause I got a couple blank caps I was gonna wear but the brims crooked as s***. It's a f***ing pandemic

Wow that’s even worse if folks are just getting a photo op out of the gear cuz it actually looks like poop. It’s like they are fully aware of their delusions of grandeur but just don’t care lmaooooo omg

I wouldn’t know in the slightest. Never even bought a hat before lol. Only cap I ever had was from some underground rock band and I lost it. Seriously regret it lol

Yea man,the fits be off, fakes can’t copy the tailoring of a lot of this stuff. Like, there’s so many dudes rocking fake Balenciaga and Gucci gear and it’s obvious too any guy that knows his stuff cause most of these people rock it like H&M/mall gear and with so many different silhouettes and updated fits with these brands each season, every one rocks the same look every time.
It’s too obvious

Bro all of it comes from the same factory
What do I look like paying 500 for some Travis 6’s
These resellers getting out of control nowadays 🙄🙄

I think it’s because they think most people won’t know but what happens is they’re all wearing the same fake s*** and pretending to not see it 💀💀
