They just keeps referencing @choppaflex making a gorpwear is a rising trend thread a few weeks back in as many different posts/threads as possible
been in this local fb group for clothes and sneakers a few years. not very active or anything but I've sold a couple of pairs via it in the past and it's useful to see if a local store is stocking something or other.
anyway I feel bad cos the last couple of years in particular there's been these two middle aged filipino ppl who just buy everything and I've been lowkey on my hater s***. like on one hand cos these guys always luck into like two pairs of every travis scott release or w/e is popping but also cos they literally buy every dunk or w/e, post photos of it and then flip on for what must be zero profit at this point a while later. Like it just seems dumb uneconomical but also acting like it's not just to sell on after lol.
anyway I notice one of them hadn't posted in a while, seems odd cos this guy was always super active as I said. looked him up and he posted something about being in hospital like 2 weeks ago. Aite, that sucks i guess, seems cheery enough tho so prob nothing too serious.
Look him up again today cos he came to mind and I see he passed away over the weekend now I feel bad for being a hater prob just wanted to talk shoes and flex with his kids or something weezydam.jpg

It has been becoming more popular for years now though
That's what everyone was trying to say, it's popular and only becoming more popular to the point that it's probably just here to stay in terms of it being something that's highly visible/a lot of people incorporate into their style
If you follow fashion social media you will see that it has been becoming more popular lol
brother you are so behind on everything

You don’t know me I’ve known about gorpcore, I was just saying it’s becoming more mainstream
gorpcore has had an adjacent popularity rise to techwear as it's more accessible and wearable for normies
the tote bag fits have brought more light to arcteryx but people have definitely been on that wave for a minute

“Racking has been part of graffiti since the ’70s. Arc’teryx is part of the graffiti subculture, strictly because of racking. No other reason at all. Kids would rack jackets because of their high price-point and ease of selling them.”

Mountain Lite is better to rack paint with because the silhouette doesn't break as easily as Arc
Melbourne would be good for Arc but my city doesn't rain enough to warrant GTX. Pre their popularity you could only get their stuff in one street which had all the hiking shops next to each other
