I've been long looking for some leather laceless shoes but these and the alternatives in that price bracket never hit the spot for me

the silhouette and leather pinching at the front and back is cheap spare slippers at your mums house, which I can get down with and think is fun but it being covered in sleek black leather feels like a non statement

honestly just pulled these off google once i decide what im getting ill share tho think im gonna go with one with smooth leather

i gotta see im leaning more towards a smooth leather one but the pinching is more bc it’s unstructured.

last year in august i was in europe and it was so humid the whole time and i just lived in linen and loafers i leaning towards doing that again this summer just felt so freeing

I was also in Europe then and I live in Australia so its summer here too now, and I've been doing bare foot around the home 24/7 which is ultimately freeing, but I want something more expressive and authentic to me when I leave the house and they give a little too much quiet luxury for me

I do actually see it often at like neighbourhood supermarkets but I don't see anyone at shopping centres or wherever going around barefoot

lots of people wear flip flops shopping year round including winter (not crazy cold but it gets down to like 5 degrees celsius overnight where I am) but not barefoot

I find that those slippers just lack an edge to them which Wales Bonner would have, of course mixing the Lemaire's or whoever enough transforms the meaning but on their own they don't have that sort of charm to them that interests me in the first place
