Seems like there's a ton of online shops or even brick and mortar businesses selling second hand designer. Like vintage Yohji, Dior, Helmut Lang, Margiela, Armani, Prada, Katharine Hamnett, Girbaud, etc etc

Does anyone know how/where they're able to consistently find stuff like that, and get it for a price where they can mark it up further? You can find some on Yahoo Japan and Mercari, sure, but the margins would be s***. That can't be the only place?

The really good shops in big cities are sourcing it locally or they have people traveling to source by hand. Vintage/secondhand/estate is obviously becoming a huge industry and those people are building inperson relationships and networking to get that access. The days of hopping on Yahoo JP and scrolling the night away have been gone for quite a few years now.
