So many people exiting houses right now. S***s either getting interesting, or the fashion industry is preparing for a heavy decline.
"The Blazy appointment is truly remarkable, and a legitimate indication that a profound strategic change is afoot in the industry. Executive puppeteers may now be moving away from their recent history of hiring marketing-savvy brand managers to lead labels—the most successful example being Virgil Abloh—and instead favoring formally trained designers who are all but agnostic on these commercial concerns. Blazy was hired because he’s good, not because he’ll put on a good show."

Blazy's designs have a genuine drama that nothing Abloh made ever had, but i don't think this is a recent trend, ten years ago OTB put faith in Galliano to come back and he did a good job, it's also clear that Louis Vuitton has no interest in shifting in that direction with Pharrell still leading the circus

The thing about Pharrell/Virgil's CD positions, at the end of the day is that, their working on menswear only for a company that makes most of its money on women handbags. To be honest, LV just uses these names to get eyeballs/people talking about the brand, I'll say that Virgil proved he could do womenswear with Off-White, but I do wonder if he would've ever advanced past men's cd, and became a full fledged CD somewhere prestigious.
The pinnacle of fashion will always be women's haute couture, and I don't think Virgil ever really entered that realm. Anyways, I've mostly followed Blazy/Bottega menswear stuff, and you know Chanel is the pinnacle of womenswear so, I'm prepared for a fresh look for him and Chanel.
Brooks?
