I believe the de minimis loophole was closed as part of the rollout of Trump's recent tarrifs on Canada, meaning any package coming into the US from Canada regardless of its value would be subject to additional taxes

I just threw some stuff in a cart at ssense cart that totalled about 680 and 50 dollars in taxes popped up so I guess you're right
Was the 260 you paid on top of taxes you paid at checkout?

The post-import tax is not reflected on Ssense, it gets billed to you by the shipping company

Emailed ssense yesterday and got this back:
"Thank you for contacting SSENSE.
Order over 800$ and orders with eyewear may be subject to extra fees. No extra tariffs will be added to orders going into the US.
If you have any more questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out anytime."

Tabi boots or tabi loafers? π€
The boots with the smaller 3cm heel, btw.
If you're gonna p**** out with the small heel you might as well just get the loafers
ALD and it's negative effects on the overall vibes have not been fully studied or even felt yet. Fellas don't get fresh like they used to since that trash came onto the scene

lmaooo, you think so? I already have too many black boots, but I saw a tabi boot with a subtle metallic spray painted toe that caught my eye. I don't think I'd ever be able to do the taller heel π

I feel ALD is almost like a hypebeast brand at this point. Probably a lot of younger hypebeasts grew up and ALD filled their need for a new identity.
The lookbooks are nice, but too many people try to recreate them, downplaying the creativity aspect of fashion.
The hike in prices as the quality has gone downhill isn't a good look either.

Idk if hypebeast is the right word, it's almost pre-curated, it takes a specific type of person, lacking in creative problem solving capabilities and simultaneously conscious of the reality of creativity to get something out of it, obviously they know their demographic.

i'd argue the pre-curation has just affected people who are just entering fashion or have surface level interest, more so raising the floor
i think people who still dress FR do just fine you just see the ALD look more cause any dude can slap the baseball cap on and think they're rocking
