thoughts on Demna’s Gucci?

i never really jumped on the Demna hype train but i admired how silly and rage bait his stuff was

Gucci got too lost in the sauce with Alessandro’s gaudiness and Sabato didn’t know how to transition to that quiet luxury look the big suits wanted or even execute the clothing itself

but this seems like a step in the right direction. it’s fun and embraces the older Gucci

not directed at you, but rather the tweet: i kinda feel like this is a dumb take

if you really feel like this then you were never really about that life

i can understand outgrowing different styles or pieces but to disregard them because they’re “too loud” or whatever sounds insecure in the sense you care about what other people think and whether you’ll be perceived as an “adult”
