I don’t remember if dare had any effect on me as child but I will say watching requiem for a dream freshmen year of high school completely shook the s*** out of me and kept me off d**** until the end of junior year/summer before senior year when pretty much all my friends did was drink and smoke weed so I gave into the peer pressure lol.

that + punk music culture kept me straight edge. (tbh tho I was a huge poser and was way more into pop punk/mall punk than the real shut loll)
