My only complaint was they could’ve brought Han back in a better way but still a fun movie nonetheless.

I’m a fan of the franchise but there’s a point with every franchise even fantasy movies where you jump the shark

It’d be like if Harry Potter characters started using guns lol. Guns existed in that time so would’ve been possible but weird to see

That being said I haven’t seen this movie yet and maybe they pulled it off and took them to space in a cool way

HP is a series with 7 books and a s*** ton of lore and backstory behind everything lol.
This is an action story about some dudes racing cars and stealing and fighting. I get ur point but Harry Potter isn’t a good comparison.

I think at this point I want them to scale it back a bit for 10 then they can do whatever for 11 (with that being the final one). I know they won’t but honestly some of the stuff I like the most in this was the scenes that took place in the past with the racing. Felt refreshing ngl.

For me this movie is a 5/10 after sitting on it. It could be ridiculous sure, but this was also long as hell and with how weak the writing was in this the length didn’t help. Cena was a nice addition and I would like to see Jakob and Hobbs meet up in Hobbs and Shaw 2 or something. Han coming back was cool but he didn’t get much to do.

These movies jumped the shark when they were driving cars between buildings in Dubai. This movie jumps the f***ing moon (almost literally). I know this is a movie and you have to set some disbelief aside, but the first movie in this franchise is about a street racing gang trying to steal DVD players to flip them

I’m in for 10 sure but I might need to go in with absolutely no expectations. Like don’t watch a trailer or anything.

Comparing Harry Potter lore to fast and furious lore is like comparing gourmet food to McDonald’s but ok.

“Jumping shark” is whole lot more acceptable for the latter.
