I really like this series but it's always felt like they were a step or two away from making the game that the IP's creative ideas deserved, the combat was either too tedious or the progression too repetitive.

This might be the one. I'm having a ton of fun so far, it moves fast without eliminating the weirdly stilted vibes that are so core to the series.
