I feel like in America if you make a stupid mistake once in your life you’re probably going to end up dead or in jail. And if you’re black just 5x that probability.
Feel like this feeling is exclusive to America which sucks. In other countries if you make a mistake you probably are not going to end up dead.

Nah this aint true. I live in Uganda and niggas get shot and killed every week for slightly scratching someones car. Just the other day someone got shot for calling out a guy driving a government car on the wrong side of the road. It's a universal thing bro
show me where i said that he didn't believe it was a real problem
i put in the work n all u want is more (even tho what u want is in the post ur quoting. it's also the premise of all ur posts around whatev earlier page i pulled the quote from). all i get is the runaround and incompatible statements that u say r the same because u put a "so" between them

the work you put in is for naught because there is no post i have made in this thread saying he didnt believe in it. nothing in the post i quoted says he doesn't believe in it.
my only position ever was that they aren't mutually exclusive

All the self defense killings are excluded from this statistic
Keep the same energy when the police gets freaked out when you go for license and registration bozo
This isn’t the argument y’all think it is.

Your honor what if the civilian had a gun? I feared for my life. I saw a black object being pulled out of the compartment. I had no choice but to neutralize the threat...
The police are supposed to “serve and protect” and are supposed to be trained to handle high stress situations. That’s a completely different situation than someone with no training defending themselves. Y’all try too hard to be woke man lol.

The fact you had to compare the USA with a 3rd world country speaks for itself

I thought responsible gun owners go to shooting ranges and practice? Or did the NRA lie to me?

The average person isn’t going to have the type of training to handle situations cops are trained for. We’re supposed to hold them to a higher standard anyway. So bringing up police brutality in a situation where it’s a case of someone defending their home is crazy and not the gotcha argument y’all think it is.

Makes sense until you remember cops get like 3 months of training and therefore just reflect the shoot first mentality of the overall population

They are related tho, you don't think this trigger happy mindset and paranoia about everybody having a gun ready to shoot doesn't impact how cops operate?
I think all Americans really just want to shoot and kill someone
It's a fantasy as American as winning the World Series.
Serious question to those who think the father shouldn’t have shot him: what would you have done differently in this situation?

Brandish the weapon and the boyfriend would have pissed himself and run away, no need to end a human life in that situation just because a legal technicality allowed for it.
But let's be real, there was almost certainly a premeditated quality to that killing. The dad wanted to kill this kid and he had the opportunity to. He's not a hero. He just lived out a power fantasy with zero ramifications and is getting props for it.
