You bring up an interesting point, and maybe this is obvious and maybe it’s not but.. when I hear the topic of gun control all I think of is how criminals don’t abide by those laws, obviously, and if people are for taking away peoples guns you’re only hurting responsible gun owner’s ability to protect themselves and their loved ones.

It sucks that people use guns to commit crime, but the best deterrent for someone shooting you is you shooting them first.

I don’t run around brandishing firearms, I think that is the corniest s*** imaginable.I’m a rational person that understands the gravity of what comes after you pull the trigger. I understand what you meant when you brought up preconceived notions, I’m not looking to change your mind or anything like that, you’re entitled to your opinion but hopefully you go get you one and practice with it and learn how to clean it and be safe and responsible. You never know when you’ll need it.

I've lived all the country, with all kinds of people, all kinds of laws, hunters, sjws, you name it. I'm in a complicated spot where I simultaneously hate gun culture and understand how important it is to protect my family, and myself, because there are people who love me and need me to be around for them. I was attacked on the street just last year, had a couple teeth broken (crowned/veneered them since, wasn't cheap), and you bet I wish I had a gun then.

Back when I was living in Indiana, one of my wife's uncles walked into a f***ing Dairy Queen full of children with a gun on his belt, making a big show of it. I know no matter what I'll never be that guy lol

Michigan City lol I lived out there for college. I went to Valpo, about 90 minutes outside of Chicago.

The cops knew the guy and his family pretty sure the guy was schizophrenic and living at home, just straight rushed me and went for my neck. If I'd had a piece on me, that would have been over in seconds.

Indiana is full of tweakers and crazies, ain't s*** to do there but you can't get away from them in this country, it doesn't matter where you are.

I moved my family out of Van Nuys because our hood was too unsafe for my daughter, but the s*** that happened to me went down in f***ing Burbank. You have to be on guard everywhere.

You can tell, that’s a compliment my brother. I’d do anything and everything to protect my daughter, and my son for that matter.

And yeah Indiana is full of meth heads and mfs on heroin and s***, it’s a whole epidemic here. Niggas don’t care about ANYTHING except for that next fix and will kill you dead in your tracks just to get it.

Although not to the same degree by any means, this reminds of that Karate teacher who kidnapped and molested someone’s kid, and the father straight up just shot the dude at the airport when they were taking him for trial

Didn’t serve any jail time, but was on 5 years probation and community service

It's okay to not like guns but also be cool or indifferent with what happened here. Does America have an obsession with guns? Absolutely. In this situation, was a gun used in a manner that makes the most sense and when a gun could realistically and rightfully be used? Hell yes.

F*** guns, but if ever there was a time for a gun to be used responsibly and within reason this is clearly that time lmao

It’s not a bad idea but some people might be paranoid and think you’ll come back when you’re not home or come back more armed. Don’t gamble with peoples paranoia like that, just don’t rob.

I’m not saying I would snipe dude like 007 but I would feel EXTREMELY paranoid and unsafe if I let him get away.
