continuation of the @wild beatles/little richard thread series investigating who the true 🐐 is

some of y'all out here acting like little richard invented rock when fats domino literally did it years before richard blew up with the fat man in 1950, we talking real influence math

richard himself said he actually started making music because of fats, he was just taking that foundation, screaming on top of it and flexing with the outfits like don't get me wrong, his energy level insane to this day but facts are facts, fats set the streets of new orleans on fire before anyone else even thought to sprint on them

so it's actually not popularity and sales, it's not direct influence either, it's essentially about who did it first, we gotta respect the chronology, respect the og, fats domino is lowkey the true goat and nobody's talking about it because richard was more flashy smh

nah fr, woulda been impressive for any artist but for a black artist back then this was absolutely insane, the industry was still super segregated, wasn't eclipsed till motown showed up in the 60s

The amount of gems Fats has is unreal

I think him and Ricky Nelson had the most deep cut classics of the 50s guys

Whenever somebody called humble hillbilly Elvis the king of rock and roll to his face, he would correct them that Fats was the real king

    True.

Elvis had his issues but he constantly gave credit to his Black influences which is contrary to what many on the Internet say.

Also said he would trade everything to be able to write songs like Chuck Berry
