love it man. forgot to buy it during the criterion sale.
hope you enjoy it man
Thing I love about the Coen’s is they do so much with such simple plots a lot of times
True grit - girl seeks revenge on the man who killed her father
Serious man - Story of a man going through divorce
No country - Man steals bad guys money, bad guy tries to get it back
Barton - writer goes to a hotel to finish a script then starts to unravel
Inside Llewyn Davis - a music artist struggles to make it with music

“I ain’t did nothing funny”
Love how that line connected later in the film. Great foreshadowing set up
No Country/O Brother were fantastic. Rest I've seen have not clicked with me at all. Still a few to go though.

Damn No Country for old men took a lot of bits from Blood Simple and remixed it

yup I just see No Country for old man as a chance for them to redo Blood Simple just with a more refined eye and skillset as directors.

Definitely I can see it even tho I watched No country first.
Like the scene when Llewelyn is in the dark hotel room waiting for Anton to arrive. That was a clear remix of the showdown between Frances character and the private detective near the end.
And speaking of Llewelyn anyone ever point out how him and llewyn davis have highly similar names?
