I never thought of Boys in the Hood as a coming of age movie but you right

Alot of folks dont catch that Boys In The Hood is inspired by Stand By Me and the short story its based on.

The opening story of the boys looking for a dead body next to railroad tracks.Some of the characters story fates.

Plus the the narration and ending fade outs.

Sidenote we count college films as coming of age? Cause Higher Learning counts in that case
