Tbh I’ve only seen it once & never bothered to look into the history of dude. Still think it was a great movie overall, but that’s sad to hear

it gets so good so fast, one of them movies that sticks with you for a while after. very artistically shot too

i have to admit i've never fully seen Apocalypse Now... how different is it from most war films actually? Also how psychedelic is it

regarding russian war films i like the ascent a lot. the cranes are flying is lovely too
