    Any revolutionary rapper, I'm curious

As much as its cliche at this point Tupac counts imo

    Most of public enemy

I think there's a tier of "revolutionary rappers" who threw their fame away by making political messages when on top of the world

    Mos Def/Yasin Bey

    Lupe

    What a time.

Pre Death Row I agree but towards the end of his life Pac was definitely becoming a hyper capitalist and Hollywood's darling (his later interviews confirm as such, "without money you can't build a nation")

the same Chuck D working with the US State Department?

As much as I'm a fan of both Yasiin and Lupe, none of them is comparable to a Fela Kuti who literally went at his country's own police force tbh.

aint no rappers really revolutionary lets keep it a buck

u sayin rap inherently can't be revolutionary.. or just that every rapper whos existed thus far hasnt been so?

If he thinks its pure chance that the Vic video would drop the same day as this one lmao.

I do wanna hear more about his idea for a video game thats panafricanism meets persona.

Mike has been sneak dissing FD & his mentor Dr. Ball for years, including bringing FDs wife & kids into it for some reason, so he's busting back

Killer Mike a clown. He couldn't just be a happy Black sellout and ignore people complaining about him being a capitalist like 50 Cent and Jay Z do. And it's because deep down Killer Mike himself knows he's on some bullshit, so he's defensive about it.

a rare case of getting "woke" and fell off entirely because of it (no you white hipsters you not forcing me to like RTJ. El-P production always peaked on Cold Vein)

    young insertcoolnamehere remembers AKshon days

I kinda fell back from FD & especially Lil Bill
No major issue with FD tbh although I'm just not really as interested in his stuff much these days
& Lil Bill let me down with that lil mild controversy he had about Isfaek (with that video where he was sounding like a liberal zionist) & how he addressed the backlash

For black culture adjacent stuff I like Is The Mic Still On & the occasional DEHH live/conversation, Open Mike Eagle is great
    Culture United is alright too,

Diallo Kenyatta is good for social/political/black issues + the Earn Your Liberation show
I mess with Jared Ball/IMixWhatILike although he approaches things like a serious scholar which isn't always very engaging (although he has more energy on EYL) & some of the Black Liberation Media stuff, Jacquie Luqman can be good, sometimes Rosa Clemente

Never jived with Lil Bill, and the Lib zio nonsense he was spewing makes sense when you learn that dude used to be a preacher or some s*** lol. Evangelicals peddle that poison on the regular
