I wasn't there long because it truly does weigh on you emotionally for sure. It takes a toll
I just simply think people, young niggas, whatever, when you start robbing and killing putting other people's lives in danger, you gotta be locked up bro.
I’m not arguing that they don’t need to be separated from society. I’m arguing that they need help. Emotional, monetary and otherwise to stop this cycle from happening.
locking up one person doesnt stop the next King Von
A lot of them niggas mental health is like that cause somebody killed they brother, father, sister, cousin, etc. And don't forget most of them niggas are shooting at niggas who want to kill them too. It's a multi-layered complex issue that jail will not and have not fixed because jail is not focused on rehabilitation. If it was, I'd agree with you. Although I agree with you that niggas who grew up in the hood, 89% of them are regular non-violent niggas including the ones in gangs/crews/cliques/etc. But historically, socio-economic opportunities has always been linked with crime.
This is all fair, you are not wrong.
I just don't think that that trauma is an excuse for murder
And I just don't think rehabilitation is worth it when the trauma and mental health gets to a point where it's resulting in niggas being killed.
Quando and Durk both turned to Islam and I really thought it was dope how they have been embracing it. as a Muslim it just makes me sad that it landed to this place.
Man i have some sad news for you about the way gangsters use islam

Locking up the heads of gangs has made s*** worse historically than fixed s*** especially in Chicago
Im sure and i feel like a lot of people in his community went through similar things and still didnt come out nearly as violent as him. Like he was universally known as a violent guy in a violent community. This is all getting very chiraqology, but you can find his friends in 2012 saying that he was very violent lol
I’m saying that he faced very bad abuse and saw very terrible things. Whenever you examine people who have killed multiple people or career criminals, they have the same exact story.
Just because some people don’t react the same way does not mean that that completely dismisses why he went down that path.
Trauma manifest differently in every single person he had legitimate psychological issues!!!
i actually had durk dying on my 2024 bingo card, but I'll talk with the caller to see if they'll allow jail.

Idk I feel like saying kids in Juvenile detention are not sympathetic figures is straight up wrong.
Like I can see where you’re coming from but a lot of these kids were failed at every angle by all the adults around them and are dealing with lots of pain and undiagnosed mental health issues
The reason it feels wrong is because it's not just happening in a vacuum. These kids don't just turn out f***ed up outta nowhere and locking them up en masse reinforces that baggage
Bro these young niggas running real drills KILLING Mothers, fathers, brothers.
I just...I don't have the sympathy man. My girl was working in the juvenile hall that the young nigga that killed pop smoke was at ISTG these are demons bro I want nothing to do w/them fr
I feel you that some of these kids unfortunately may be too far gone but we gotta still try to intercept the ones that are on that path but still haven’t gone all the way and get em right in the head we can’t be afraid of our babies at least the ones who ain’t too far gone
This is all fair, you are not wrong.

And I just don't think rehabilitation is worth it when the trauma and mental health gets to a point where it's resulting in niggas being killed.
So how do we improve our incarceration system? Should we just continue to punish people and force them to do labor?
Or should we try to understand the human condition and what makes people kill others?

Fair
I do agree that more financial opportunity can solve a lot and ending the cycle of 'king vons' start with parents having real opportunities for upward social and financial mobility
The guy who allegedly snitch on Durk
I have a theory where it usually be the ugly niggas who snitch no diddy

Are you a mentor to anyone in real life or just on ktt?

Agreed and also less exposure to such trauma
