if not prison, what does "holding {them} accountable" realistically look like to you? whether it's gang members killing each other or getting children and civilians caught in the crossfire

Not sure where people were arguing against funding and rebuilding the communities that are hit hardest by poverty violence, environmental racism and disproportionate police surveillance among other things (although I'm sure ppl on KTT would do so because we got all kinds of ppl on here)

I guess you're stuck on someone saying "we can't rely on the government to help" or something but i still do think any pressure people can put on the govt to provide necessary resources in areas that are suffering is a good thing.

On a macro scale though there's only so much campaigns and organizing pressure can do when the govt is set up to function the way it is, corrupt/capitalist/white supremacist etc

But I don't fault people for organizing around those causes and making them pay the resources they owe these communities for sure. Any relief that can get to places in that condition i respect the people doing that

Quality schools, access to food and housing and opportunities whether educational or creative and so on
