In January I made a post online and my university sent the police to my apartment for a wellness check. There was like 15 people/officers trying to figure out who I was because I had made a 'very concerning post' online. I let them know that I was okay and I thought it was over.
However, over the past few months, I have noticed that whenever I email one of my professors, whom I have not introduced myself to in person nor told my name, they approach me in person and somehow instantly know who I am. They will address me by name in person and instantly apologize for not responding. This is strange because professors whom I have not introduced myself to or told my name already know who I am.
For example, last week my math class started, and I emailed my professor, but he didn't respond. Then, today he saw me while I was out walking and instantly apologized for not responding. The odd thing is I NEVER told him my name, and the class JUST started. He didn’t even know what was included in my email. I think that whenever I send an email, someone like university staff or police is notifying my professors of my online activity. I have also noticed my iPad acting weird for months, like I keep getting strange privacy alerts.
I have been trying to tell myself that maybe it’s all in my head, but my classes have like 30-40 people in them, how could multiple professors know what I look like and who I am from a email without reading it? Something not adding up.
Maybe stop posting so many details about your life and every dumbass decision you make to every online platform you can find. You talk about extremely specific situations on your campus and it’s incredibly easy for your school to put two and two together, as evidenced by the fact they already found you talking mad s*** on Reddit
What platform did you post on? You weren’t anonymous? If you were anon they are tapped up your ass
if this is real u managed to cook your future prospects just by posting online
idk if thats impressive or depressing
at least tell us what you posted

It's concerning how the younger folks really are so terminally online and cannot just log off and leave for awhile, even if it would literally save OPs life (if this gets darker)
Touching grass, as rude as it is to say, is severely needed for some
One of my favorite gifs of all time
I mean the implications of that gif are quite dark
Are we headed to a future where weird s*** is normalized?
So you email a professor without saying who you are?
Even if you don’t say who you are - your email is hosted by the school, right? Also even if you don’t say your name if it’s YOUR professor they could look your email up in their own list of students.
If you’re posting on university wifi that s*** is tapped
Yea they caught me torrenting by my junior year and it freaked me out cause I was on the darknet heavy (but used vpns for that, and also off campus apartments not on school grounds)
I got banned from the wifi one day and didn't even know why till I went in and they were like yeah you're seeding dumbass, which I didn't even realize lmao.
Got unbanned once I went to tech support and I think it was clear they also torrent and didn't do a report lol

Time for you to learn about the MCU
Tell us what you posted that initially got their attention. Might make sense that they are monitoring everything you do
