do you guys download drum kits or mix all your own s***s yourself?

Been thinking of trying to make my own drums but wanna see if its worth it lol

I don’t really synthesize my own drums. I have made my own but I hardly use them. There are some good plugins for that like kick2.
Most of my drum samples come from kits I’ve found online (or purchased). I don’t mind using loops and layering on top // stealing the rhythm.

And generally I’ll add processing to the sounds to make the my “own” but sometimes the sample is good on its own and doesn’t need any of that.

imo, creating drums from scratch is a waste of time like 90% of the time.

he could also just mean he got his drum sounds from songs he personally sampled and processed. so it might just be his own library of drum samples that he “made”

Download /sample then edit them to my taste. Don't really make any cus I feel like it's to time consuming.
