rocking with Paladin rn, might switch to a DPS if my friend decides to play this and wants to tank

Paladin is in a good spot right now last time I checked.

Monk is top DPS right now and they made the class a little easier to manage recently

I’m really enjoying it personally but I’m also on the content that people seem to hate the most so I assume it can only get better

I was leveling it before I stopped. Had to take a break after shadowbringers.

Do what I do, play dps only. People rarely blame failing raids on dps

I tried taking a lengthy break. But then my friend was telling me about the Ishgard Restoration, and that fire exp for crafters. Had to max those out before SE f*** around and nerf it to the ground.

Since then, I've just been logging in to do a daily or two and logging off

How good is the exp? I want to level my crafts but f***, that s*** takes forever

Got them all from 70-80 in about 3 days. Granted I blew my entire bank making sure I had the lvl 70 crafted main hand (from market board) & HQ materials (the ones that couldn't be gathered)

Theres a macro guide on reddit too that helped a s*** ton. Get your mats all up, and just hit 1-2 buttons for the macro. Then turn in for all that exp

How is this if you play it solo

Its good. Especially if you are playing from Realm reborn to shadow bringers

Theres always people running the lower dungeons due to dailies.

Regardless, you could run the whole game solo 1-70 but you have to queue up for group dungeons from time to time. But, they are implementing (probably already there) a npc group system if you don’t want to deal with other people at all.

Definitely worth a play through

i’ve been playing it solo until my friend gets it and i’ve loved it. it’s very rare i like something this much without friends to play it with too

Been playing this. The start is slow going but I heard it gets better. Kinda getting bored of the slog at lvl 30 though.

Been playing this nonstop, currently playing through ShB, and this might be one of my top 5 games of all time the story is so good, best ost I heard in a video game too

The beginning is pretty slow, I still liked it though. The 2.5X quests drag on forever and might be the worst part of the game.

Heard there’s an update that will make the game f2p until level 60. Drops August 11th. Imma download the game when I get back home later today.

For those that play, what class/job is your main focus? I know you can play all of them. Looking at videos, my top choices probably gonna be Dark Knight, Gunbreaker, and Machinists.

Been looking for a new MMO to play. Kinda becoming burnt out from SWTOR.

I don't recommend playing until 5.3 comes out (which is like a week), the patch reworks the beginning sections of the game to make it a bit less of a chore.

I was the same as you with Dark Knight being my goal. So its best to start with Gladiator class, transition to Paladin and then finally get Dark Knight once you start Heavensward. Can also unlock Gunbreaker later on
