You can cry about what he did to racist White Cubans but he helped Black people all across the world
A true revolutionary who we need to learn from both in terms of mistakes and successes.
It's strange, in the USA Obama is a hero but outside everyone knows him and the past few presidents are war criminals. Fidel can be a hero in Cuba if that's really how they feel but it'd be ignoring all his crimes

who in the us looks at obama like a hero lmao
who in the us looks at obama like a hero lmao
I dont think anyone looks at any presidents as a 'hero' per se (besides maybe weird Trump fanatics) but plenty of people admire Obama and think he was a good leader
Interesting. I would ask what Castro's motives were. Was he actually in it to show internationalist solidarity, or was it to stick it to America? Both? It is also important to note that Angola became a cold war "hot spot" shortly thereafter

This, I get admiration, but when the word "hero" is said when it comes to someone from America, someone like John McCain comes to mind more often

The people who put him on shirts with MLK and Malcolm X and stuff like that lol.

how else do you think a f***ing oligarchy owned news outlet will report a socialist leader
aren't you the mod who said the Uyghur geoncide is fake? jesus christ get consistent with an ideology lmfao
remember watching this interview of this Former CIA Agent talking about propaganda they would spread of Cuba like for example Cuban Rapists in Angola which was a complete lie made up by the CIA, and was spread to every type of Newspaper, and how the CIA would give major publications fabricated stories to spread
who the f*** cares (@ ppl saying he has crimes)
eggs have to be cracked to make an omelette. revolutions are inherently violent for freedom.
no one talks about batista or any other colonial ruler who kills thousands and thousands to uphold a society which values multinational corporations profit over people.
instead, everyone talks about the killings the socialist leader instigates in the name of a revolution which is for for the self determination of their people.
violence is used. that is just how it goes. its what every f***ing state does. it is simply the same means for a different end (profits or self determination).

!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NK1tfkESPVY“To feed, clothe, and educate one’s population requires resources. Vietnam’s revolution meant that it would no longer allow its own social wealth to drain away to France and to the West. The Vietnamese government, led by Hồ Chí Minh, wanted to use that wealth to address the centuries-old deprivations of the Vietnamese peasantry. But this is precisely what imperialism could not tolerate. Vietnamese labour was not for its own advancement; it was to provide surplus value for Western capitalists, in particular for the French bourgeoisie. Vietnam’s own development could not be the priority of the Vietnamese; it was Vietnam’s priority to see to the aggrandizement of France and the rest of the imperialist states.

This applies to any socialist revolution. F*** out of here if you do not agree with them or say they are not good people.
