I‘m loving the gameplay but tbh it feels the same for me like Fifa 18. I remember it good because I hated 19 & 20.

This defending is f***ing broken.
Tackles always receive yellows so then you're constantly worrying to tackle again.

1-2 fast paced players running rings around 87+ defences.
Then they just pass in the middle goal.

Tackling just seems far too difficult. Can't even make a simple tackle without it missing the player I'm trying to tackle.

AI defenders not doing anything but cause open spaces when I go mark players.
CDM just stand there.
Players just don't ever put pressure on the ball.

What is this mess

Watch a defending tutorial on YouTube. Helped me a lot and now the game feels really balanced to me. Hold the right and left triggers when defending and be patient with tackling and it’ll come easily.

I found it helpful to practice my defense a bit in squad battles on a lower difficulty too

I think my biggest problems after like 40 games is the shot blocking from defenders is just stupid. You can't even get a shot on goal unless you are one v one... I'd also add the tracking part, unless you manually do it, the computer just doesn't want to track, in fact half the time it puts them in a worse position lol

Defending in this game is actually broken every game is 8+ goals minimum for me. Especially the AI

I completely mastered defending on fifa 20 only for it to f*** me over this game. So many ricochets going against me, as well as defenders randomly not reacting even when im controlling them

Started off 4-1 for my placement games in Rivals so got placed into Div 3. Won the first 2 games then ever since lost every won.

My team is great but I do not have tactics figured out at all

I play with pretty high possession, high pressure when I don't have the ball, score a lot of goals, concede pretty often too
I just play in neutral custom tactics and play my game
