as someone who worked in gas station back in college, most of the money does come from gas, the merchandise (snacks, chargers etc.) make up a very small amount of revenue.

now your 7/11 yes might stay open since they are more like a quickstop that happens to sell gas but your bp, kroger gas etc. could easily close down.

dont think it will happen tho for other reasons
