Just completed the remake, bout to play through intermission and then should I play Crisis Core before Rebirth comes out or wait?

Cause I saw a bunch conflicting opinions on it, like Crisis Core apparently spoils some stuff for the later part of the story, but also it was released during this wait period before Rebirth so maybe it was meant to be played like that anyway? I cant decide should i play it now or after Rebirth

I never beat 7, the OG, so I can't be sure on this, but I did platinum Crisis Core. You learn about backstory with Sephiroth and the cast in that game, which I guess could be a spoiler? I didn't have any problem with it personally or felt like it was a big spoiler.

Crisis Core does spoil a part of FF7/R's story but it just comes down to how much experiencing it in Rebirth matters to you

It’s quite clear at this point that VII Remake as a whole is playing around with the established canon to the point that it expects the audience to already be familiar with it.

The developers absolutely want the audience to be familiar with Crisis Core; it isn’t going to spoil Rebirth so much as it’s going to provide context for whatever deviation it takes from the original narrative.

Yea I seen enough. Max's breakdown of his footage was enough. Game is basically open world (you unlock more of the map as you progress), no loading, whole world is traversible seamlessly and you can always go back to visit past areas whenever you want to do sidequests, minigames (which exist naturally in the world and you unlock more as you play). You can swim in the ocean and traverse the continents through a boat you control. Combat added like 15 different systems and addressed every small issue from the first game. Chocobo customization looks INSANE. You track down chocobo by following their tracks and you can capture unique ones with their own names that you can customize and use in the chocobo racing minigame. My f***ing God, man. This game is INSANELY huge.

I cannot believe they remade the map from the OG game 1:1 bro. What the actual f***. We were saying that s*** was impossible LOL

They were clever to re-release Crisis Core, and fair play to Square for using all FF7 games and adapting it to the story of this remake.

The series deserved it.

This looks like a big jump from 7 remake.

I thought it was pretty good, but the inconsistent pacing and bad side quests really brought it down for me.
