There’s so much side content and the world is massive. People are rushing through or not playing correctly as I’ve been reading others say they are skipping tutorials or not going to Chadley. I feel this game is just more appreciated by those who played the OG because it makes you just want explore the world map to see it fully fleshed out. Also it gets even crazier bro. When you think they can’t top the last chapter they just do.

That jazz bar in the back alley of Juninho upstairs has their own song they play up there and it is crazy. I just sat in there for 30 mins listening to it. Little stuff like that just shows the attention to detail they put in. There is so much packed into this game it’s unbelievable and being a die hard FF fan w VII being so close to my heart for my whole gaming life is just making everything sweeter.

both games are 8 because i dont love the combat in either of them, just my opinion and i think the pacing of the original FF7 was great but in this remake it offers so much to do that i spend more time NOT on the main story which is a double edged sword i guess

Just because side content is good and it gives a break from the main story or otherways to engross in the world. That isn't a double edged sword because its always optional. Unless the tone of the side content is so off that it takes away from the seriousness of the main story? But even then its a choice by the player. There is no way you are so conditioned and used to hyper linear all one tone content that side content becomes a "double edged sword for you"
