True but I’d imagine work started on part 2 a while back. Could be totally wrong here.
They may have started work on the next locations before Nomura/SE decided to end it where it did end.

Just beat the game tho, 41 hours clocked.
I only played up till like the train graveyard of old FF7 so I i ain't really aware of all the changes or story differences
Thinking about watching the cutscenes on youtube but that s*** is 15 hours long
