Beautiful song makes me tear up
I love you Abel
Song been hitting hard lately bc someone I know committed suicide and this always reminds me of that
Go to sleeeeeeep finallyyyyyyy
What the hell @op I’m so sorry for your loss.
I’ve never experienced someone I know personally commit suicide so I can’t relate firsthand but I can imagine that it’s heavy as hell.
It’s really beautiful that you’re able to find some solace in this song, as it is indeed such a beautiful song!
Sending you love OP, hope you’re doing alright!
Side note about this song...
Abel included Kelsey Lu’s version of “I’m Not In Love” on an episode of Memento Mori, and in the album version of that song, there’s a little instrumental outro that leads into the next song (KINDRED II), and it sounds very similar to the piano line in Final Lullaby. I wonder if Abel was inspired by this song when creating Final Lullaby
If you want to listen for yourself it’s 6:45 into “I’m Not In Love” but the album version isn’t on YouTube for some reason. You’d have to go on Spotify or whatever
