Nov 8, 2022·2 repliesur voice is really nice actually but you need better acoustic treatment and/or probably should mix the reverb differently. the reverb of your voice and the virtual space of the instrumental aren't the same.
also mayb try a dynamic mic like the shure sm7b it will smooth out your voice which i think would compliment it better than the condenser i think youre using which i can be entirely wrong about.
the weeknd uses one occasionally and they are pretty cheap as far as mics go.sounds really good tho!

Just listened and I really like the beat and your voice, @op but something about the reverb on the voice is off.
I’m not experienced enough with this type of music to say what isn’t working, but it feels like the vocals and beat are separate, instead of blending.
Even still though, you have a good voice, and if you made the beat, an interesting ear for sounds, and I would be interested in seeing what you do next
