i got bros that graduated with a bachelors and they either unemployed or working 2-3 minimum wage jobs
yea so I can confidently say I'm built different then..
never had a minimum wage job even when I just had my associates, so your scare tactic has been deflected
no one said any degree is a meal-ticket but it is something, you do what you will with it
Welcome to the job hunt strap yourself in and try not to cry every night

Congratulations @op
Celebrate this, it's a hell of a moment
Love that for you. Used that quarantine time wisely.
I got a Bachelors in International Business Management from University of Massachusetts Boston.
Nice. One of my old roommates did the same degree. He works in recruitment and does quite a bit of travelling for work.
congrats. i actually did the same thing around the same age as well. was worth it. but the student loans part still sucks
was hoping biden wouldn’t flop with the forgiveness and i’d have the come up of the century, but not everything works out like that unfortunately lol

bro that Biden thing was gonna HITTTTTT so good for people like you and me.
I applied and everything, it would've been such a relief I was looking at it like I got my degree's for free/very very cheap
but.....sigh
any chance he might go hard with it one more time before elections to get that vote?
Love that for you. Used that quarantine time wisely.
yup precisely because quarantine made everything remote I was like "what easier time to do classes whilst also working, if travel time is non-existent for both"
it was good till they started mandating on-campus but that was a vibe too, loved my college experience ready for the future

thats a good tip, i'm going to be fixing up my resume very soon cuz i'ma start job searching
recruitment is not a bad field to look into, good looks bro
I’m not American so it’s a different grade system but I think it’s around the equivalent of 3.5 in the US. Idk if that’s good enough, but got amazing grades for the courses for the field of the masters I would apply for. Hbu? You did GRE yet?
It's probably good enough
And nah didn't take it yet. I honestly don't even feel inclined to take it until I get a job that will pay for the degree lol
Hell yeah this is awesome I went back with all the online school s*** coincidentally starting up in 2020 and it helped me and my motivation and balance so much too
There's some grad schools that are all online and more "at your pace" that might only require 1 night class or even none at all
Ball state and capella I think are the biggest with the most classes/disciplines and high acceptance rates. And these schools can be cheap af with crazy scholarships
I’m more worried about getting in tbh, had great GRE score but I haven’t really got much work experience on my cv (in my field at least) since I only just graduated for my BA
Depends on the field and uni but 3.5 in US is great afaik you only need higher if you're trying for a crazy established school or specific types of programs
Congrats man such a big accomplishment. I have 2 more years to go but I’m powering through it!
Just checking-in and making it even more real by announcing it but I just finished getting my Bachelor's degree on 12/29/2023.
I decided to go back to school in Sept 2020 because I wanted to do better for myself and for my girl who had also just started attending NYU the semester before.
Online classes were enticing to me because I also needed to keep working full-time to support my lifestyle.
after 3 years of juggling both classes (few online ones and on-campus) and work, I can finally and proudly say I earned my degree and will be receiving it in the mail in February
anything is possible if you really want to and it might not be something too big, but I am proud and nostalgically looking back at the amount of s*** school has put me through the last few years
this for any bro's currently in school or thinking about it,
I was 26 when I started and 29 right now. time flew by
W
The hardest thing I ever did was get a college degree
So proud of you. Be very proud of yourself man. Absolutely huge accomplishment. Frame that diploma & put it somewhere you & others can admire

bro keep at your pace and just get through it
2 years is a blink of an eye how time be moving rn
just focus on the next deadline and next deadline and by the time you look up you're right there
I remember walking to class one day and looking at the path ahead of me and calculating it like if it was my degree timeline and I had such a long road, but now I look back and i'm completely done
time is a construct
Congrats man such a big accomplishment. I have 2 more years to go but I’m powering through it!
let's get this bread bbygirl.
