It’s a little different, Iraq and Afghan were counter insurgencies, no military is built for that. The US military was built to fight Russia’s military in Europe. Look at how the US performed against Iraq in Desert Storm against Iraq’s Russian equipped military, and Russia’s military has proven itself to be a joke in Ukraine. The real issue is the nuclear aspect.

Afghanistan, idk wtf that was(destabilize the region?) but comparing that to a conventional war against Russia are apples and oranges
