The bootleg's production completely takes the spotlight off Fiona and her raw, emotive vocals and drowns her out with all these strings. Feels more like a demented Jon Brion album ft. Fiona.

When it comes to down to it the only good Brion tracks were the ones that made the final album imo (title track and Waltz) and that's because the production was more stripped back. Mike Elizondo did a better job producing the rest.

But at the end of the day, Brion even said that the bootleg wasn't his version of the finished product so I never understood the hype over the stuff that actually leaked
