Durk was dope.. Fivio wasn't amazing but his verse was short af anyway, doesn't really improve or ruin the song

The Durk track has just been my least favorite from the jump
Now Don Tolliver interpolating Queen Ella Mai on the other hand

    Don T's hook is incredible

Do you think this track should've been on the album?

    Why not both

    because Kim is cringe.

But also @notesfromphilo you talking to someone that fell out of love with drill music because of that cringe-type factor. So I personally have my biases with "i'll kill you/you will literally die" type of music sometimes.

i feel like this is a very causal thing to say

for one of the best rappers today

am here for all the gems
    you have to share

I met nick at my best friend spot in Smyrna, GA. My friend had a studio there and we hung out there all the time and studied Nas music. We both had similar personalities and sounded kinda similar to Nas at the time. He was starting a label called Music Class Entertainment that I was supposed to be a part of but we kinda fell out in 2014 til a few years ago.

Missed some major opportunities myself years later and procrastinated but I knew Nick would get in the industry because he was a hard worker and was talented

Btw I think King's Disease is Nas' most mainstream album

In a good way tho. I feel like it draws some similarities to Ross and Drake without losing what makes Nas special..

Edit: You the same weirdo who was talking s*** about Nas in a thread a couple of days ago.

I see that you're a bit obsessed and caught up in a love/hate relationship.

The OG double disc would've been Nas' greatest work ever, in my opinion.

It takes some serious mental illness to act like Jay's discog is on a whole another level than Nas' lol, he has a solid amount of bad/mid albums with a few gems

"I always get frustrated. I feel like sometimes I carry a burden. But I feel like now my load has been lightened. About two years ago, I was screaming for people to get more creative, to get more imaginative and put reality and love in their music. Even from the toughest gangsta out there, we want to hear some emotion, some human s***. We want to hear about progression in life and that's what I was screaming for when I dropped my God's Son album. I think the game is changing in that direction and I feel what my impact has done."

this album would've been 10x more appreciated if it wasn't for the awful album cover, change my mind

it's an okay Nas album. It doesn't live up to his first two classics, but it's still solid. it's just dragged down by S*** tracks like Kissing.

tracks like NY State of Mind Pt. 2, Nas Is Like, We Will Survive, Favor, Hate Me Now, Undying Love, are all great and can even be considered among his best.

The best rappers are the ones who do this, thank god we have Kendrick and Cole for keeping this tradition alive on a mainstream level, everything feels so soulless right now, everyone is waiting for their return for a reason
