Like a lot of Europe / balkans have trouble w refugees... not

Yes, Italy does have problems. Yes, Greece does. Spain kills migrants. They have the biggest problems w the influx of migrants cause there is no solidarity in the EU on this subject and they are the border states. And the rest of Europe complaining is exaggerating hard based on ignorance/racism

Ofc influx of migrants should be regelated tho

nah it is actually important that words have specific meanings. language is important. thinking it's arbitrary is how you end up with political platforms in the US where people think "leftism" is when there's more minorities in office, including half the people in the country who self-identify as leftist. the more you erode what words actually mean in political discourse the more it bends the coalition of who is included under what word. language doesnt exist in a vacuum (esp. not collectively) and is always attached to some sort of vestige of wider political practice. this is how you end up in situations where uneducated neocons in the US say both Russia & Iran are communist nations and no one questions it in the media.

They bleed the working classes of southern Europe dry to benefit banks and bureaucrats

So people fed up and resort to reactionary anti-systemic political groups in desperation when they're faced with failure after failure after mainstream electoral politics

    European Union:

If these people (EU) are genuinely concerned about fascism in Europe they should stop clutching their pearls and wagging their moralising fingers at the general public

If they're not willing to let the likes of Deutschebank loose some cash in order to make the lives of ordinary people easier/better, things like this wouldn't happen.

You'll get torches & guillotines sooner or later no matter if you're left or right variety

I'm tired of these things, I never talk about it at this extent on ktt but I see it so much in my daily life and there's like a cloud of misery & tension hanging around people always

Rant over don't quote me just something off my chest

their only concerns about fascism is the anti EU part, everything else is cool as long as it maintains a healthy level of deficit

nah the EU def care a lot about social issues too. which i mean, i'm not saying thats a bad thing per-se, but they def use social issues as a rhetorical cudgel/proxy for keeping countries in line economically/geopolitically

the organization itself sure but the local EU supporters in european countries will hold euroscepticism as a populist party's deadliest sin

when the right was normalizing le pen in the last french elections macron supporters were saying things like "should i remind you all what she stands for? she's against the EU! she will scare off foreign investment!" with little mention of anything else about her program

That's because most French/Europeans are in favour of strict migration policies. So Macron won't win votes if his supporters emphasize the anti-immigration part or even anti-Islam part of her program
