Hey KTT lovers. Any one know of a good beginner workout routine. I can workout 4 days per week
Currently 275 6"1 so I'm over weight
Lifting and cardio preferably thanks.
You wont lose weight (substantially or fast) by working out
Calorie deficit is what you need first, from your weight and height try and eat 1600-2000 calories per day
Do that for half a year and you should drop over 30 pounds
Then after you can start building muscle but that aint my area of expertise

This is (mostly) true. It is almost entirely your diet that will change your weight, but OP should really work out.
The reasons why are twofold:
1. You are building muscle regardless of how much or little fat you have. May as well do it now.
2. Working out is healthy. Just losing weight shouldn't be the goal, but being a balanced person health-wise.
OP, I would consider the GZCLP program: saynotobroscience.com/gzclp-infographic
But yes, your diet is the most important part by far.
Getting rid of excess weight (a testosterone killer) is in fact fairly simple, at least for someone scientifically inclined like myself. Common tips like 'avoid carbs', or 'don't drink' are bullshit. Losing weight is a matter of calories in, calories out. And what, I ask, is a calorie? A calorie is a unit of heat. Therefore it follows that by lowering the heat of your food you lower its calories. I've been living off frozen pizza and ice-cold beer for two weeks and yeah, it works.
So you recommend calorie deficit and running?
Yes like someone said u can still always work out cus you’ll build some muscle and it’s a good habit but just personally for me any substantial work out routine that’ll make me gain muscle won’t be feasible for me on a diet cut (which is usually 1400-1700cal based on my weight and height). I’d just be too tired cus im not eating enough
So i figured the same for you but still give it a shot and if u hv the energy it’s fine.

Yes if im not mistaken the “traditional way” is to cut weight first so strictly a diet THEN after youre at whatever goal weight (based on yr height and weight and im guessing u wanting to just look skinny/fit that’ll probably be 160-200 pounds) you either eat on a maintenance or moderate def or moderate surplus calories wise then you can start building substantial muscle
So you recommend calorie deficit and running?
Also be sure to use a calorie calculator too
This is just my opinion, but as I am approaching my mid 20s, I feel that lifting weights is just a means of compensating for something you don’t have
Most women once they hit their mid to late 20s prefer skinny or dad bods because of what those body types represent
Usually men still lifting that are older are insecure, and average women don’t want to deal with gym bros who spend their lives in the gym mirrin

I mean you not wrong but the gym is a stress release and people genuinely do it for themselves

1600-2000 calories per day is wayyyyyyyy less than a 275lb person needs to lose weight. His TDEE is probably like 3500 calories, so he should probably eat like 2500-3000 a day to lose weight
The way people justify hating other people never ceases 2 amaze me
I said it my opinion
Honestly if you want to lose weight the fastest with the least amount of thinking look into intermittent fasting it worked for me. You just eat all you calories within certain time windows and it really helps you being in a caloric deficit.
I said it my opinion
I’m not saying it’s not your opinion fam it’s just interesting the way the mind does that with bias
Working out is a means to control mood as much as anything that’s why So many straight edge people get psychotically into it. So your opinion that people just do it to compensate just isn’t true categorically. I understand you’re saying you just see it a certain way and I’m saying it’s interesting your bias convinced you of that probably cus of unique personal experience In your past which informed it

I want to switch my workout im doing for this this upcoming week...however some of the motions I never did before when lifting (IE Overhead press, bent over row, deadlift, front squat).
How do I ensure that Im doing these workouts with good form, as I usually go by myself late at night

Best advice I could give is to really focus proper movement before adding any serious weight. Repetition is important and make sure you’re feeling the engagement where you’re supposed to be feeling it. Also watching YouTube videos can be a big help from someone repeatable. A lot of them can seem daunting but if you’re patient you’ll figure it out quickly fam
