Met this gal in NL last year and we met up on discord last night to talk in person for the first time since meeting (after chatting almost daily) + listen to the album together, ended up w both of us lying in bed high af almost falling asleep but on camera, felt very intimate and was a great way to experience this 👀
Production on this is brilliant, very psychedelic. When I closed my eyes I had like very elaborate visuals, felt like the sound was very spacial. Also love how many experimental touches you find with how she treats her vocals throughout, and also how this is some of her most pop music but mostly feels like a very natural progression for her as an artist.
That said there were def a good handful of songs we both weren't feeling that much first listen which felt too indebted to trendy sounds? but need to listen more to see if those poppier tracks grow on me, think they might. The highlights (Ride the Dragon, Honda, Lightbeams) rly blew me away
ok I have to make a revision
Honda is a highlight, def have to hit the dance floor to this
Whole time I thought this was an album. I was gonna say it has a mixtape vibe to it but it actually is a mixtape

happy for u fam sounds like an experience
I need a Twigs X Peggy collab
Also Frank x twigs would probably end the world and bring us all to heaven prematurely
tbh feel like I can hear Frank influence on here, was reminded of DHL in particular

you should check out some of Pa's other songs if you haven't already. Frontline, My Family, Dem a Lie
Would love Twigs to work with Backroad Gee too

His music is so fire, still a bit pissed how whack the show was tbh when I saw him at LGW fest, came half an hour late then came on stage utterly wasted and mumbled through a couple songs, beats on big speakers go hard but it was so sad to see, strong second-hand embarassment
