not gonna lie, not feeling this whatsoever. it might be because i was expecting something like her album work, but it seems like to me this project doesn’t have a sole sound or an actual coherent direction.

first it’s like house, then it’s jungle, then it’s trap/trapnb or pop, and then there’s a ton of skits littered throughout some of these tracks that just makes it even more apparent to me that’s it’s a mish mash.

the fka x daniel track was lovely, and probably what i was more so expecting, definitely looking forward to what she makes next, disappointed with this one

Yeah it seems like you may have missed the entire concept of what this was supposed to be. After the emotional wreck of Magdalene, she wanted to make something more accessible whilst carrying and elevating her signature sound and this is that product.

El Guincho did such a fantastic job on production that even though it covers every element of a spectrum - like you noted - to me, it still sounds cohesive. The skits are a drag but I really don't mind them on some songs.

Maybe run this back in the summer when you're driving because this is legit filled with cinematic bops that are infused with Twigs' avant garde style. If you still don't mess with any of the tracks, I think LP3 will be a return to what you may want.
