Wow and Adele dropping too . Imagine not being in communication with your ex
AOTY
bold in how stripped down production wise this is compared to Mellissa, but shines perfectly on Twigs’ songwriting and vocal performance. Her ability to evoke emotion in her listeners allows this to be an AOTY contender.
listening to fallen alien and saying it’s stripped down production seems delusional, but maybe it’s my focus on her as a vocalist. either way, she met expectations. I’d put this in my top 5.
Just can't play this album, too much for me.
It's amazing though, no doubt but can't enjoy this project
yea he did
he also did fallen alien, one of my favs as well
and OPN did daybed only seeing this now while looking at the credits lmao
it's wrong to say one producer did anything alone on here tbh and if you give one producer the cred for how it all turned out you gotta give it to twigs. Jaar even offered twigs to have his name removed from the album because he considered her the artist behind it and knew people would say "he made the beat". I mean it's possible Jaar did the majority of sounds on some of these tracks but she still did a lot of the compiling and arranging prolly
and a source for that here too
Twigs says she always does the lion’s share of her music’s production, and her approach on MAGDALENE was forensic enough for the obsessive electronic world builder Nicolas Jaar, who worked on seven of the album’s songs, to suggest that his own name should be removed from the credits. “He felt that his name on stuff wouldn’t highlight how much I’ve done, especially as a female producer,” she recalls. “When he said that to me, I cried.”
I don't even f*** with Jaar like that but he went off
imagine not f***ing with the greatest living electronic producer tho

my post wasn't intended to sound like twigs wasn't involved with the production, from looking at the credits she clearly was.
and yeah at the end of the day it's her vision, she decides what lands on her record. no denying that.

This Mario mushroom cap. Wow hop off his d***
Stated many times how I prefer him as a DJ. Seen him live about 3 times
his Rewire headlining set was top 2 performances I've seen and it wasn't 2 tbh. And it's not like there's no competition
Still think his best work is on record tho. Sirens and AAL are masterpieces
