Bruh really came through his last album was aight but this s*** really a breathe of fresh air

f***in Seaforth been stuck in my head for like a week and a half
MAYBE THIS FAITH IS ALLLLLLL I HAVE
Nah this s*** my AOTY so far crazy experience the whole way listened in my bamboo speakers and it hit with so much ambience
10+ listens and I’m still forming an opinion. It didn’t fully connect with me at first, but neither did Man Alive - at first I thought Space Heavy was too similar to MA sonically, but it’s actually really different.. Probably his most straightforward album.
It also feels very small-scale? I can’t describe it very well, but his other albums feel vast and a world of their own, and while this is still deep, it’s maybe his most personal and intimate? This isn’t a bad thing.
No bad songs, though. I will say that I wish If Only was the closer, but Wednesday Overcast feels like a nice credits roll.
I think that I need to live with this album for a little while to really have a solid idea of how I feel about it, while The Ooz clicked instantly and is still probably my favorite of his (along with ANP2D), but like I said Man Alive took 6 months to really hit me.
Right now I just know it’s beautiful, warm, grounded, with contrasts to all of those in-between the lines.
Archly blessed us again. GOAT.
