    Synopsis

Its not really tough to understand

Racist education policies and poverty disproportionately impact minorities

This could lead to more "acting out" in school, especially if they are only exposed to white educators, and the school to prison pipeline is a thing

Or, you know, you could just respect teachers if they are just doing their job. Crazy concept I know

You assume this teacher and student have no history and even so does nothing to account for racist education policies

We can look at funding mechanisms for one. And then you can go ahead and look at things like suspension and detention policies in practice and see who they impact the most

You mean how school funding typically is based on the price of the surrounding homes? That is definitely broken

But what is a good policy for a kid who refuses to do something as simple as not blare music in class

Kids nowadays have no respect towards teachers, pretty f***ed up.

Also hated losers like this in high school, they thought they were so cool but they were just annoying as hell. Most of them ended up in jail or with kids at the age of 17.

So it’s kids nowadays but you also knew kids like this when you were in highschool?

Kids have been idiots and disrespectful since time my g

You could bring in a counselor, bring in parents, talk to them like a human being etc.,

But there's probably a distrust among these kids and the education system and educators. Black kids who have black teachers are much more likely to go to college. Maybe make it so that teachers are representative of the community

It seems like it happens more nowadays judging from the news reports and s***.

But good point, kids have always been s*** heads.

That’s all true. What happens when none of that works? 80% of a child’s education is out of a teachers/education systems control.

How do we get more black teachers? That would be amazing

Then you dig deeper and figure out why

First you need to make being a teacher financially viable, second you close education gaps, then you eliminate tuition and student debt, which impacts black women way more as well. You basically incentivize people to become educators

You must know that will never happen. So what else can we do?

Government will never pay educators or put money into education because it doesn’t directly make them rich.

  • Jan 11, 2020

I aint mad at him. Reminds me of that thread a few years back of that teacher slapping a kid.

Obviously it isn't the "right" way to go about it but I'm not faulting these teachers for being fed up. Disrespectful ass hooligans in the classroom is something I can't stand.

One solution could be to not force everyone on a college path. Especially when someone obviously doesn’t want to be

If someone thinks algebra is worthless then they can make tons of money doing all kinds of other things.

Laying tile, building houses, etc. literally millions of things. But those things are looked down upon for whatever reason.

I’m on the teachers side tbh.

And I know if I did some s*** like that student my parent would be in the teacher side too

That being said this cracker is finished.

Can I just ask why you take this so seriously? In my opinion, kids can be really obnoxious most of the time. Most of the time full grown adults don't act like they are the victims in this situations or the ones who provoke the kid.

Looking for a response without you bringing race into it please.
