Hopefully this is better than Flammagra.
It truly is. That album felt to me like someone grabbed a bunch of Flylo files (dope songs tho, imo) and put them all together. Had none of that flow and cohesion that his albums do
This one does

Its not a fully flushed out LP like You're Dead and Flamagra its more beat based and similar to the older ones if any. Kind of like a loops project really

Perfect. Flammagra was all over the place. I couldn't really get into it.
i'm a mega flylo fan (see username lol) but was pretty underwhelmed by flamagra
yasuke soundtrack recaptures that feeling i had listening to Los Angeles era flylo, really feel like the nature of it being an OST works in its favor

Likewise I remember being so disappointed on first listen, I did find myself enjoying the deluxe instrumental version

my man check out my bio
you're spot on, I think because this is a yasuke OST the sound is thematically stronger. In that vulture interview he mentioned that he connected with the character and that made the whole process organic, that definitely comes through in the music because this has some of the most beautiful tracks he has made in a long time

damn nah for me this isn't up there with Flamagra. Very overhated album, easily some of his best material, just looking through the tracklist rn, what a banger line-up. I also thought it was a bit of a rehash at first but it's just a distillation tbh, it's like his TLOP.
To me on a third listen this is cool but it feels less detailled and immersive, it's more groove-based. I think it'll prolly work better as part of the show combined with sound design too
Doesn't feel like a proper Flylo album to me tbh
BECAUSE IT ISN'T. IT'S A SOUNDTRACK LOL
BECAUSE IT ISN'T. IT'S A SOUNDTRACK LOL
Eh. Good Time, Blade Runner, Samurai Champloo, etc etc etc there's plenty soundtrack albums which also just work great as albums and even rank among the artist's best work. This doesn't imo
not to be that guy but his absolutely feels like a flylo album lol
can’t really compare it to his other work bc it’s a unique thing, but it’s great for what it is. as a long, long time fan, it’s cool to see him return to his more loop-based stuff
It's pretty good. Definitely better than Flammagra, but isn't on the level of Los Angeles, Cosmogramma, UTQC, or You're Dead.
@op more new s*** hype af to listen to this later
