never saw this vid from the legendary Low End Theory show w/ Mac and Earl where we got our first previews from Doris
playing Somebody Do Sum and Earl and Mac f***ing around freestyling

already knew these

sound mixing is kinda flat here which doesn't suit the Earl tracks well, but daamn that HudMo x Murphy track @4:38
also awesome footage/visuals

this one needs to be put in the Library of Congress for preservation
captures the energy much better. Listened to this a couple hundred times in anticipation of Doris back in the day lol, still such an awesome time capsule. If I was able to use a time machine once...

Not gonna lie, SDS was the song that made me go check out Mac's stuff. So refreshing, even tho that album was long as hell.
Also, that Doris hype was unreal damn. Never seen this video of him & Flylo together thanks for this

Flylo mentored Earl around that time
I think he was DJing for him sometimes too.
And yea to me it was Earl and Vince hanging out with Mac all the time which made me give him more of a shot, plus that Jay Electronica feature. Rly liked WMWTSO back in the day but after that stopped following Mac's career which was a mistake... Only fell in love with Swimming after checking out his amazing NPR set right after he died... now it's one of my fav albums of the 10s smh. Def never appreciated him enough while he lived :(

I kinda fell off too, same
The things that always turned me off about his projects were the length
Is he workin on somethin or nah? Love his discography except last album
as a longtime Flylo fan Flamagra is def up there with his best, I still don't get why the album gets so much hate
edit: to answer your first question tho he most recently scored the upcoming Netflix anime Yasuke which he also executively produced
revisiting this CLASSIC
Underrated rapper. Need that new Captain Murphy project next, I think he was saying as much on twitter recently?

I think the length and the fact that it's kinda all over the place / not that different in comparison to previous works throws people off.
Me personally? I think the chorus to More with all the instruments is the best thing Flying Lotus has ever done lol that song is on some real ethereal s***
Brainfeeder Short Film Anthology featuring Spike Jonze, Flylo, David Firth......... as a NFT auction. "First ever short film NFTs". I do not know wtf that means. But if NFTs are basically just artists scamming rich speculative investors I guess I sort of dig that?
