I saw this in the theaters on edibles and the experience was very profound. It got me to accept boredom more. It also got me to quit smoking weed. I didn’t want to be in a fog anymore.

very interesting that out of all the films this is the one that made you wanna stop smoking weed. But i totally get it the way you explain it. That's really interesting fr frIt sounds like the funniest backhanded compliment, I know
I found the film boring at points. If you say you didn’t feel the length while watching I’m gonna be inclined to believe you’re lying to me haha. But strangely, that doesn’t equate to the film being bad. I think the movie is saying that life is boring. And it wants you to sit with that. And struggle through it. Just like you struggle through the rape scene in Irreversible.
Hopefully you come out stronger at the other end. Because by the end, all those long takes had weight. I felt like I’d been living with the characters. Sometimes it’s better to feel alive, and bored with someone, than entertained, knowing they’re dead. I think wanting to quit weed came from a sense of wanting more control. These characters aren’t in control. Lost in the supermarket. Forgetting. I feel like I have an awful memory so that really hit and I made that connection with my life.
