    foldables are still just gimmicks
no company has given the consumer a legitimate reason to buy a foldable over a regular phone but samsung is getting close

too bad the fold 4 is ugly as s***

they gotta take notes from that new xiaomi foldable

I really really dislike the Flip. It's still too thick and bulky, still has that awkward gap when it's folded and the dimensions of the front screen when folded are too narrow, it looks strange and gimmicky.

Xiaomi's flip takes care of all of that, but there's certain software shortcomings. I'm certain a happy medium can be met within the next 2-3 years (when Apple's foldable is projected to land ) but until then, foldables just aren't worth it.

Damn this whole time I confused fold 4 for the flip 4

  • Sep 10, 2022

Flip4 is thick but it fits better in your hands that way. People screaming "gimmick" need to actually use it daily. I think the Flip3/4 might be the best phones for texting out there imo.

Why would Apple drastically change the #1 selling phone in the world?

  • Sep 10, 2022

    Yeah my fault

  • WRF

I have the fold 3, it's really really good

Getting the 14 pro as a 2nd phone because I want an iOS device and apple won't have a foldable for 5-6 years

Get an iPad they have the M1 processor unlike iPhone with A15

been a life long android user until like 1 month ago when i switch to iphone 13 pro max.

android can do alot more and has much much better customization.

but the things iphone can do, it does it really good. like imessage, facetime, apple fitness and s*** like that.

the new iphone has better battery life, speakers, and camera than any android phone ive used. Ive used alot.

only thing i really miss about android is the customization

still dont have any b****es tho

I’ve had iPhone for years but sick of same old design. Should I make a switch to samsung fold 4? Or is it too dramatic of a difference considering all my friends have iPhones and iMessages etc.

As much as i was recently tempted to get a Fold 4 instead of my new 13 mini, i would advise against it if you're ONLY looking for something with a fresh feeling design.

If you are a huge multi-tasker, especially if your job/hobbies require lots of professional communication and app usage, then the Fold 4 seens like a godsend with it giant screen and ability to have 3 apps open at once on different areas of the screen (like slack, excel, and zoom, or whatever).

But if you are just sick of iphone's bland design and only use your phone for regular person browsing and entertainment, then i dont think it's smart to get a Fold 4 cause you really wont be using all the features that phone offers. I mean, how often do you use iOS recent screen-in-screen feature? How much actual work or productivity stuff do you do with your iphone now?

Maybe consider the Flip 4 too if you dont think you'll actually use all the extra screen real estate on the Fold

I mean in the end, get whatever you want. The desire for something different is reason enough for some people. I guess you can always go back to iphone later if you have one of those annual upgrade plans

Think is I have Apple Watch, airpods. Etc. had apple for like 10 years now. Haven’t had android since it was first popular..
if I did make the switch to samsung all my products wouldn’t even get there full use. Apple Watch would be practically useless. Just more money to spend buying samsung products like the Watch.
Decided to get a 14 pro

Yeah i didnt even think about that cause i dont have airpods or apple watch, but that would def be a good reason to stick with iphone haha

Sucks that apple's tech ecosystem is basically set up guarantee you dont have any other options but to use apple if you have one or two of their accessory products, but it is what it is i guess

The main thing I’d miss is everyone around me having iPhones and iMessage and FaceTime etc.
but Iwould love to use the fold 4 multitasking features. iPhones just so simple to use it’s hard to switch. I guess that’s why most people including myself use iPhones, for the ease of use.
