Good instrumental and backing vocals.
Lyrics are a little corny but doesn’t take away from the enjoyability of the song.

Probably because it's not actually great.

Haven’t listened in a while, remember disliking this song a lot but everything else was some great cole music to me
In the minority but I think 4YEO is front to back Cole's best album
It is. I stand by some sequence changing and maybe a cut or two + adding a song or two from the FHD sessions and it would’ve been a classic

Some reason we know why man

ehhh sure those mixtapes 15 years ago are his best work but also not great. they're good
whole album great but super overhated for some reason
Because the beats are lifeless except for Neighbords, the concept really isn’t that deep at all, and Cole raps about the most surface level s*** but people act like he’s spewing the gospel. All of that was the same problem with KOD.

There definitely needed to be a tone setter between Neighbors and Foldin Clothes, but I think he was trying to get at that duality with that sequencing.
Die Together slid in there would've been perfect

You can definitely tell he was making songs that could fit on both albums in that time period. Makes me wonder if he was working on both at the same time
