  • What would be smarter to just drop singles and wait a year after to drop a full length project or drop like 2 or 3 singles and a full length the same year?

Kendrick most likely dropping in 2020 so your best bet is waiting until 2021.

This real. So just go off with singles and music videos then for 2019-2020?

It only matters that the music is good

  • It depends on quality too I’ll say but quality always gets overlooked

But bro there’s so many artists coming out nowadays even if you drop something great it might get overshadowed especially in the position I’m in I’m coming out of nowhere I mean do have some connects but still this s*** mad stressful

its a singles market, i say treat your songs like albums. take your time with them so they are as good as possible and then just focus on pushing that song.

plus its easier to get people to listen to a few good songs then a whole mixtape even if its really good

but it also depends what type of music you make

i would say it depends on what your listenership is like but from what you said i think it would be better to release singles and keep building

Yea this makes sense as well, but on the point of it depending on what type of music you make I feel like it’s gonna be a little harder for me because I’m not really making a traditional style of hip hop (not tryna sound like a headass)

if you think your an album-artist i would say just go for it fam and commit to making a cohesive, well put together project

but if you tryna just make dope songs i would say drop 1 or 2, push/promote em hard for a couple months maybe longer and just go from there

    Singles for sure

No one wants to listen to full length albums from a new bloke they have no attachment to

Albums have to be masterpieces to get ANY attention nowadays and that's after you build up hype

Yeeea this is true I think what I’mma do is work on these songs and perfect them as if they were like albums then drop and promote the hell out of em build a base then repeat the pattern until I’m in the place drop an album that the people want.because to me the debut album is hella important and I want to deliver impactful with it you know what I mean? Thank you for this man this really helped

I'd say start with the singles to build your fanbase and then when you're in a good position with that go ahead and drop your album that you will have had time to perfect to your liking
