I get what you’re saying but it’s not that simple either. Getting confidence isn’t as simple as saying “be confident in yourself”. To fix problems you really have to find the root of the issue, which will be alike but different to everyone. Improving yourself also dosent necessarily mean women will come either. Plenty of guys with a lot of money from a good job or guys who actually look well put together but don’t have a woman for various different reasons. Leveling up and still not seeing what you want is also draining.

It’s not a huge deal but I realized PhD life really ain’t ideal when it comes to dating- like, most people interested in something serious are gonna possibly be turned off by how many years you gotta stay at the uni- but I’m not necessarily tryna confine myself to other grad students y’know. Sucks bc most grad students are loners anyways so it’s not necessarily so easy to meet others outside ur department/immediate circle (but it is possible). And being surrounded by undergrads, I’ve involved myself w a couple but that has its potential complexities too 😅
