There are certain things like racial slurs that should be banned (like the n word from non black people). The f word hasn’t been funny since 1999. But otherwise what exactly is an instant ban aside from harassment and threats?

I am saying that turning away people who are into edgy humor from politically neutral (or from left wing) sites will just increase the alt right’s pipeline. where do you think those people will go?
I know its hard but why not try to see things from someone else's perspective and see if your on the wrong side?

Maybe I should bc it seems like “edgy” to y’all is just a code word for racist / sexist. I’d say a lot of Richard Pryor and even Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock’s humor was edgy, especially for its time. Rock even stopped doing his “niggas vs. black people” bit for a similar reason that Chappelle left his show. Didn’t really love who was laughing and how they were laughing. Not to mention the entire bit was basically something a racist would say (“there are good blacks and bad blacks”). But it got a big laugh and was funny

Hasn't been funny in the last 10-15 years. The creators themselves have admitted that the characters Cartman and Mr. Garrison were mistakes as their edgy and offensive humor created terrible people as time has gone on. It's the main reason why they made Garrison a Trump knock off in one of the later seasons to further drive home the point that he is a terrible person and the people who agree with or quote him or Cartman are also terrible people. They are laughing AT those people. Not with them. Unfortunately most people, including yourself, don't seem to understand satire, and go on to use South Park as means to justify being offensive and edgy.
